Canon FS10 Flash Memory Camcorder with 8GB Internal Flash Memory and 48x Advanced Zoom The Canon’s FS10 Flash Memory camcorders offers quick response time, because it doesn’t have to wait for moving parts. Press the record button and your FS10 starts recording video faster than you’ve ever seen before. The FS10’s lower power consumption rate allows your battery to last longer. Measuring only 2.3″ wide, 2.4″ high and 4.9″ deep, it combines big video storage capacity in a small, easy to carry body. The 2.7″ High-Resolution Widescreen LCD on the FS10 lets you see more of what your camcorder is recording. Designed specifically for HD, DIGIC DV II ensures optimal image quality. It also uses a hybrid noise reduction system that employs two types of noise reduction for video images that are crystal clear. You can shoot five 1152 x 648 still images per second, and enjoy faster processing of your images to both the FS11’s internal memory as well your memory card. It also helps lower power consumption for longer battery life. The Genuine Canon 48x Advanced Zoom remains in constant motion through the entire extended zoom range. There’s practically no loss in image quality through an extraordinary range of zoom, so you’ll get good, clear shots. The FS10 offers you more flexibility to get just the shot you need. With the FS10 you get a powerful 1.07-Megapixel CCD image sensor. The video you shoot will be sharp, clear and more true to life, as will your still photos. This is exactly what we were looking for. We were tired of mechanical camcorders that eventually break down and tapes that fail. The Canon is small, lightweight, and the battery lasts a long time. I added a second 8GB memory chip and we have hours of video between dumps to my computer. I haven’t tried editing the video files yet and will add that review later. Customer Review: Totally Satisfactory for My Needs I bought this as a replacement for my Sony MiniDV camcorder. The video quality is roughly the same using the default settings. However, because I can adjust many more settings on this, I end up shooting better video than I could have with the Sony. Read the rest of this entry

I bought this camcorder to make some fundraising movies for my 3 day breast cancer walk. It has been SO easy to use, and to create some GREAT looking videos. I took it out of the box, and shot some video then plugged it into my VISTA laptop and downloaded the video in about 3 minutes… Great for a first or casual user. Has some nice options like widescreen and SD card for still photos. The light only works very close up but is a nice option if you are interviewing someone at night. All in all I couldn’t be happier with this camera, and the price is AMAZING for the features you get… (lots of USEABLE features without all the useless bells and whistles that the $$$$$$ cameras have – that you never use anyhow) If something were to happen to this camera I would replace it with another zr850… The only thing I wish it had was a mic jack… but the built in mic does a fantastic job… see some video made with this camera at www.myspace/adels3day.com Customer Review: ZR850 Excellent Value I had a ZR200 Canon that I take everywhere. It was easy to use so after many hundreds of hours of filming sports events etc. it died. I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars so I purchased this for about the same price I would have had to fix my old camera. This is an excellent camera expecially for price. Excellent Buy! I recommend this without any reservation. You can’t go wrong!! Read the rest of this entry

Not in the video or picture quality, but in the downright feeble insistence on giving the video files a .mod extension, even though the clips are compatible with MPEG. The problem is that no video editor I have on file – and that are four – recognizes the extension. Nor do many of the Internet video delivery services. In other words I cannot edit the videos which I need for instructional purposes and have to buy a separate program that re-encodes the video, thereby losing quality. Despite its video quality, the camera is of no use to me. For anything in this world I cannot imagine why any manufacturer would limit its product artificially, a marketing decision that can only have been made by someone with an IQ of a ground worm. Customer Review: Easy to use. I’m not a techie, so this very easy camcorder is perfect for me. Turn on- point and shoot, takes great pictures. I need something that makes it easy or I won’t use it.
