The SD is a SDHC card and requires a special reader. SDHC reader. You can get here on Amazon for $ 20 or as part of a package with a 4-SDHC 16GB. As for video editing, I have the HDC-SD1, the last and I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 11. And 'the only program out there that let you change the oil. mts files. Nero lets you do a movie with them but not edit them. One question. You can not have the camera to record a DVD in DVD format? A poster in another review said it was possible.

I have owned the camera for 2 weeks and now I'm back. I currently have 3 cameras than others, but this is my HD camera Forst. Everything in the house is wonderful, except for one major flaw, there is a sharp cry when vode game through the camera. It's pretty obvious to say the least and simply unacceptable for a camera in this range. No conveyor belt, no hard drive. . . . Actually, not all moving parts can not be thinking about doing the buzzing. Maybe it's just a detail that I bought, like the other comments seem fair. . . . . Proffesional saw a review somewhere that had the same problem. . . . . . . . . maybe I have that the camera itself. . . . lol.

So basically this camera is incredible. the image is large (yes, it certainly is a bit grainy "in low light, but this is good), it is easy to use, ideal size and is very light but not too light. ont of the things I love most in this regard, however, is image stabilization. This means that you get the same stable result is obtained when using a separate holding the camera in hand (unless, of course, the hands are very uncertain, for some reason), which is very easy to get a great shot from anywhere. the only thing, however, is the type of file. I had a lot of problems begin to understand how to get on my computer and a file type that I could work. That part is not so simple. but otherwise a great camera. for everything from home movies with the family of independent film fans. Awesome product.

I have owned this camcorder less than two weeks and broke. The door that houses the battery and memory card is so cheap that small piece of plastic bent and the door will not close. This should have been done better. You always open the door: Remove and charge the battery, to change the memory card and use the AC adapter. Shame on this camcorder seems to have everything he wanted. Now I have control of the Cannon HG10 and Sony HDR SR8.
